As an entrepreneur with diverse business interests spanning emerging technologies, deeptech, additive manufacturing, advanced materials, composites and more, I’ve delved into various sectors to drive innovation and growth.

Since 2010, he has been deeply immersed in the ecosystem building activity for various technologies including Inkjet Printing, Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing, Composites across India, Asia, and the Middle East.

This journey has seen the creation of industry-leading knowledge-sharing platforms and business networking avenues, including the establishment of AMTech in India, AM Conclave in United Arab Emirates, specialized seminars, the online platform AM Chronicle, and the pioneering Additive Academy for training and consulting services.

Dilip Raghavan is the Co-Founder of Additive Academy, an initiative by AM Chronicle and AMTECH Expo that provides comprehensive training and education in additive manufacturing technologies.

With a strong dedication to publishing and serving key industries such as paints, coatings, textiles, plastics, and polymers, Dilip has built a reputation for delivering valuable insights through print journals, online content, conferences, and exhibitions. His expertise spans multiple sectors, including adhesives, sealants, construction chemicals, and 3D printing.

At Additive Academy, Dilip is committed to bridging the gap between industry and academia, fostering a goal-oriented learning environment that accelerates the adoption of additive manufacturing in the industry.

Pavan Kapnadak

A strong advocate of AM and of cross-functional education, he has a decade of hands-on experience with 3D printing technologies, applications, and DfAM.

He is the Programme Director for Additive Academy- a platform for comprehensive, brand-agnostic AM-related learning programs.

He is also the founder of Sphuran Industries Pvt. Ltd.- an organisation with research and industrial application experience in Additive Manufacturing hardware, software, and design.

Chinmay Saraf
Content Manager
Chinmay Saraf

Chinmay Saraf is the Content Manager at AM Chronicle, where he excels in producing and managing engaging content for the additive manufacturing industry. He collaborates with technology and startup companies to elevate their content strategies and effectively reach their target audiences.

In addition to his role at AM Chronicle, Chinmay is a faculty lecturer at Prestige Institute of Engineering Management & Research, specializing in additive manufacturing, sustainability, composites, and entrepreneurship. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in CAD/CAM at Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, staying at the forefront of the latest trends and applications in computer-aided design and manufacturing.

With certifications in Autodesk Fusion 360 and Lean Six Sigma, Chinmay is also proficient in LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, Content Marketing, and Communication. His passion for these fields drives him to share his knowledge and insights with both students and industry peers.

Dr. CVS Kiran
Dr. CVS Kiran

Dr. CVS Kiran is an esteemed Industry Advisor at Additive Academy, bringing extensive expertise in materials science and engineering, and is currently the Vice-President, R&D and Strategic Initiatives at Skyroot Aerospace Private Limited.

He holds a Ph.D. from Christian-Albrechts-University (CAU) of Kiel, where he specialized in vapor phase deposition of functional nanocomposites. Dr. Kiran has a rich background in advanced materials research, having contributed significantly to the fields of electron microscopy and spectroscopy at prestigious institutions such as the Helmholtz Institute Ulm and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

With over 100 scientific publications and a patent to his name, he has also been recognized as a Fellow of the Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences. Dr. Kiran’s vast experience and deep knowledge make him a valuable asset to Additive Academy, where he advises on cutting-edge developments in additive manufacturing.

Dr. Anil Kumar V.
Dr. Anil Kumar V.

Dr. Anil Kumar Vesangi is an esteemed Industry Advisor at Additive Academy, and is a scientist at ISRO, with over 19 years of experience in the aerospace sector.

He holds a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Bombay and currently serves as a Scientist at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (ISRO) in Trivandrum. Dr. Vesangi’s research focuses on Additive Manufacturing, Space Technologies, Titanium Alloys, and Superalloys.

He is particularly interested in collaborating on projects related to Design for Additive Manufacturing, process simulation, and the application of AI/ML in advanced manufacturing. Dr. Vesangi’s deep expertise and industry experience make him a valuable contributor to the mission of Additive Academy.

Vaman Kulkarni
Vaman Kulkarni

Vaman Kulkarni, an esteemed Industry Advisor at Additive Academy, is an industry pioneer with nearly 34 years of hands-on experience in the aerospace sector.

He has held leadership roles at some of the biggest names in the industry, including DRDO and Honeywell Technology Solutions. As the former Director of Aeromechanical, Mechanical Systems & Components at Honeywell, Mr. Kulkarni played a pivotal role in the adoption of additive manufacturing technology, overseeing the establishment of a state-of-the-art AM facility in Bengaluru.

His extensive expertise in aerospace propulsion systems, mechanical systems, and additive manufacturing makes him a valuable asset to Additive Academy.

Dr. Ian Gibson
Dr. Ian Gibson

Dr. Ian Gibson is a distinguished Industry Advisor at Additive Academy with over 25 years of experience as a university educator specializing in design technology, additive manufacturing, and product development.

A well-known researcher in the field of 3D Printing, Dr. Gibson has co-authored the seminal text “Additive Manufacturing Technologies” by Springer and served as co-editor of the Rapid Prototyping Journal.

He has published over 200 papers, compiled research texts, and contributed to the editorial advisory boards of three international journals.

Sangmin (Simon) Lee
Sangmin (Simon) Lee

Sangmin (Simon) Lee is an accomplished Industry Advisor at Additive Academy, with a diverse background in sustainability, additive manufacturing, and venture capital.

He founded Hi-Globe in 2011, pioneering Korea’s first solar energy subscription program and demonstrating his commitment to environmental sustainability. Simon later co-founded 3Developer within Mirae International, marking his entry into the additive manufacturing industry, and served as Korea Sales Manager at EOS GmbH, a global leader in industrial AM.

As the Regional Director for APAC at AM Ventures, Simon played a key role in identifying and supporting innovative additive manufacturing startups. A KVCI-certified venture capitalist, Simon combines his deep understanding of tech investment with a passion for continuous learning and exploration, making him a valuable asset to Additive Academy.

John E Barnes
John E Barnes

John Barnes is an accomplished Industry Advisor at Additive Academy, bringing a wealth of experience in complex engineering and product development with a strong focus on strategy and team development.

Known for his leadership in times of change, John has successfully transformed underperforming teams and improved financial outcomes. His teams have achieved significant milestones, including qualifying the first series of aerospace production metal AM parts, developing the Lab 22 Additive Manufacturing Innovation Centre in Australia, and implementing cutting-edge technology on the F-22 and F-35 aircraft.

John’s expertise in licensing technology, valued at over $100 million, further underscores his impact in the field. His deep understanding of both technology and people makes him a key contributor to the mission of Additive Academy.
